The old fridge is in the garage. The washing machine died two months ago and it is still sitting in the basement. Nobody is coming for it, the town will not take it with the trash, and it weighs more than you want to find out. This is the job people put off longest, and it is one of the easiest ones for us.
Haul Lotta Junk provides appliance removal and pick up throughout Fairfield and New Haven County. We haul away refrigerators, freezers, washers, dryers, stoves, ovens, dishwashers, microwaves, water heaters, and air conditioners. Old appliances, broken appliances, a matched washer and dryer set, or one lonely mini fridge. Call or text and we will come get it.
You do not have to drag anything to the curb first. Tell us which room it is in and we take it from there, down the basement stairs or off the second floor, out the door, and into the truck. We quote you before we start, and the metal goes to recycling instead of a landfill.
If it plugs in, hooks up, or used to run and now doesn't, we'll pick it up:
Appliances aren't like the rest of the junk in the house. Here's how we deal with the four things that stop people from just booking it.
Refrigerators, freezers, and AC units cannot go in with regular trash. We take yours away and see that it is disposed of according to EPA regulations, so it is off your hands and handled properly. You do nothing.
Basement, second floor, back of the garage, top of a narrow staircase. That is our job, not yours. Leave the appliance where it sits. We get it down or up the stairs, out the door, and into the truck without you touching it.
Ideally it is unhooked before we get there. If it is not, tell us when you call and we can usually disconnect it for you. Gas lines and hardwired units are the exception, since those need a licensed pro.
Appliances are mostly steel, copper, and aluminum, and none of that belongs in a landfill. What we haul away goes to recycling wherever it can, and whatever is still working gets donated instead of dumped.
Call or fill out the form. We'll give you an estimate over the phone and schedule your pickup.
We show up, see the job in person, and give you the final price. No surprises.
You approve, we load it up and haul it away. Same-day service often available.
It depends on your town and on how much you need taken. A single appliance is priced at the starting rate for your area, and larger loads go by how much of the truck they fill. Call or text and we will give you a straight number, and for bigger jobs we confirm it on site before any work begins.
See how our pricing works →No separate freon or refrigerant fee. A fridge, freezer, or AC unit is priced the same as any other appliance we pick up. We take it away and see that it is disposed of according to EPA regulations.
Yes, and this is the part most people are calling about. Basements, second floors, tight stairwells, back hallways. Leave it exactly where it is and we carry it out. Getting it up the stairs is our job, not yours, and it is priced the same way as anything else we haul. We confirm the number with you on site before we start.
It should be disconnected if you can manage it, since that gets us in and out faster. If it is not, let us know when you call and we can usually handle a simple unhook on site. Gas lines and hardwired units need a licensed professional, so those should be disconnected before we come.
Often, yes. Call or text us and we will tell you honestly whether we can fit you in today. We are usually somewhere nearby in Fairfield or New Haven County.
Appliances are mostly metal, so the goal is recycling, not the dump. Anything still in working shape gets donated where our partners will take it, the metal goes to recycling, and only what is left over is disposed of.
We do, but empty it first if you have the chance. A fridge that has been off for a while is heavier and a lot less pleasant than one that has been cleared out. Give us a heads up either way so the crew comes prepared.
One item is a real job to us. A single dryer, one dishwasher, one AC unit off a window sill. That is the starting price and we will come get it.

If you have items to be donated, please separate them from any junk. We donate anything our partners will accept.
